Welcome
to
EDTC 3123, Applications of
Educational Technologies.
My
name is Bruce Spitzer, and I'm excited to be the instructor for these
three sections of the course.
First
things first. I am not a professor nor an associate
professor nor an assistant professor. I am a
graduate teaching assistant. I'm working on my doctorate in
curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in educational technology. So,
I am a student, just like you.
I've
worked in both education (I taught high school for 6 years and was
a community college instructor for 9) and business (vice-president
for a small distance learning training company).
When
I'm not doing school stuff (OK, when are we not doing school
stuff, huh?), I like to work crossword puzzles, ride bicycle, and
hike. I
also really like to cook and occasionally brew my own beer.
I
hope you're ready for a fun semester where you'll learn how to develop
a solid lesson plan and integrate technology into that plan.
Below
is my "official" resume for those who like to read that
kind of thing.
PS:
call me "Spitzer". Drop the "Mr." (that's
my dad) .
. . and I've never really been all that whooped about my first
name.
