About the Instructor

Welcome to
EDTC 3123, Applications of
Educational Technologies

My name is Bruce Spitzer, and I'm excited to be the instructor for these three sections of the course.

First things first.  I am not a professor nor an associate professor nor an assistant professor.  I am a graduate teaching assistant.  I'm working on my doctorate in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in educational technology.  So, I am a student, just like you.

I've worked in both education (I taught high school for 6 years and was a community college instructor for 9) and business (vice-president for a small distance learning training company).

When I'm not doing school stuff (OK, when are we not doing school stuff, huh?), I like to work crossword puzzles, ride bicycle, and hike.  I also really like to cook and occasionally brew my own beer.

I hope you're ready for a fun semester where you'll learn how to develop a solid lesson plan and integrate technology into that plan.

Below is my "official" resume for those who like to read that kind of thing.

PS: call me "Spitzer".  Drop the "Mr." (that's my dad) . . . and I've never really been all that whooped about my first name.
